The current owner an eclectic collector bought this vehicle at an auction in 2019 where one of America's mega-collectors was selling dozens from his collection.
This 1936 American LaFrance Fire Truck is fully restored to a very high standard; it's powered by the original inline 8-cylinder coupled to a 3-speed manual transmission.
The truck is finished in fire engine red with gold leaf detail polished wheels siren red lights fire bell equipped with period correct hoses ladders and miscellaneous fire equipment.
With roots dating to 1832 the American LaFrance Fire Engine Company was one of the oldest fire apparatus manufacturers in the United States.
LaFrance Fire Engine Company was formed in 1903.
American LaFrance delivered its first motorized fire engine in 1907.
